I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I do NOT do wedding or engagement photography. That is, unless it’s family! Even then, I’ll leave the wedding stuff to the pros haha! However, this was a special engagement session because up until 5 minutes before the session, I was fully expecting to shoot a couples session for my brother-in-law and his girlfriend. I photographed these two last year while on vacation but within the last year, my brother-in-law lost a ton of weight and looks rather awesome now so he wanted updated pictures to reflect his new physique. At least, that’s what I THOUGHT the pictures were for! He had an ulterior motive that surprised us all.
This engagement has been long awaited. The two lovebirds have been dating for what seems like ages and the “When are you getting engaged?” question has been overly exhausted. But alas, it’s happened and I am SOOOOOOOOO stinkin’ excited! Congratulations Colby and Alona!!!!

We finally made our way to our destination and it was gorgeous as always. So was this adorable couple!

This image was actually a mistake. I was trying to do my typical silhouette shot but for some reason, my light didn’t fire and the only thing illuminating the image was the modeling lamp. When I opened the file, I realized my mistake was actually kind of cool! I love the warm glow it gave off.
And here’s what it was supposed to look like!
I think this crazy little pooch rules the household!
